Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year! It was a very cold evening but we had 20 brave members attend the meeting. BRRRRR!!!
We had an enjoyable session viewing a couple of videos that are in our guild library. If you are in slump and need inspiration maybe you need to check out some of these videos. There is always tips and tricks to learn or refresh our memory. Thanks to Leeanne, Sharynne and Jill who did the set up for the videos.
Very surprised there was any Show n Tell with the Holiday season just happening. But, you can’t stop dedicated quilters. Sometimes it gives us the quiet time we need to recharge in the hustle and bustle of celebrations!
Leeanne created this quilt from a kit that was in her mother-in-law’s stash. It is called “Christmas Rose”. Beautiful stars!
Marlene must have an amazing collection of patterns because this pattern came from a Western Producer dated in the 1930’s. The animals are hand embroidered and the rail fence border is adorable!! The machine quilting was done by Terry Whitman. This will be a gift for her grandson.
This is Shelley’s second completed quilt. Your not a beginner anymore Shelley!! This quilt was a Christmas gift for her son. It needed to have some extra length added to cover his 6 foot 2 inches of height. This quilt will cover him with warmth and love!
February 7 meeting- Remember to bring a meter of fabric cut into 2 1/2 inch strips WOF. You will need these to play the game the program committee has prepared for us.
