Jaynie and Brenda enjoyed the online challenge this month. The theme was “Balance”. Of course one would think of balancing teacups….where???? Who says quilters don’t enjoy humour!!!
Jaynie created an improve piece by incorporating fabric that was used by the participants at this year’s quilt retreat. It is a meditation flag for her. At the fall retreat she started a lap quilt with the Holly Hobby theme and has completed it to share with us.
Marlene used a pattern from The Country Register called “Twist N Shout Rectangles”
Adeline shows her completed table runner with cowboy boots fabric.
Donna showed a couple of table runners she completed with fall colours and batiks.
Charlene show us a hand quilted wedding gift that is ready to be presented to the happy couple soon!
Debbie and Charlene attended a two fabric Bargello class at Quilter’s Haven in Moose Jaw. Believe it or not but these were very close to being completed in 1 day!
Another two fabric Bargello. This one Colleen quilted at the Fall Retreat. This quilt will be featured at the library during the month of November.
Dot loves elephants and who couldn’t love this guy. He will hang him on her wall to greet her everyday.
Eva shows a baby quilt for a special little one.
Eva particularly likes this pattern for a baby quilt. Why stop at one?
Eva’s Trip Around the World using scraps….beautiful!
Marg’s daughters will be getting some new fall decorations for their homes.
Charlene and Debbie had fun with a wedge ruler.
Then there was the bag demo by Leeanne and members brought bags that they have recently made or had made awhile back. There weren’t two bags the same! Some members had used the same pattern but still they had their own unique look.
